Right in the heart of the town of New Paltz, NY is Lola’s Café. Lola’s Café in New Paltz opened in July 2017, following the success of their first café, located in Poughkeepsie. Lola’s Café carefully crafts each meal from ingredients sourced from local farms. They have different daily specials featuring new foods to indulge in. Their menu features custom-crafted sandwiches, paninis, wraps, salads, bowls, shakes, and freshly prepared homemade soups for everyone to enjoy.
For this week’s Weekly Special, we are showcasing their delicious chicken bruschetta panini. The chicken bruschetta panini is a flavorful creation, starting with tender grilled chicken that is perfectly cooked to retain its juiciness. The savory dish is complemented by the creamy richness of fresh mozzarella, which melts into the bread. With a pop of vibrant color and sweet, smoky flavor, roasted red peppers are added in, while a spread of basil pesto mayo infuses the panini with a delicious essence. Each bite is finished with a taste of balsamic glaze, leaving a tangy sweetness in your mouth that balances out the intense flavors. This panini is not just a sandwich, it is a satisfying blend of various flavors and textures that creates a worthwhile experience. Their scrumptious paninis can be accompanied by their mouth-watering perfectly salted fries, black bean and corn, peanut noodles, or a classic house salad.
If you are in the mood for dessert or just have a sweet tooth, Lola’s Café also includes an assortment of shakes. They offer three signature shakes guaranteed to capture your heart, and if you’re lucky, you might just find a special holiday-themed shake making a seasonal appearance. Each shake is priced at $12 and crafted for a unique dessert experience. The s’mores shake is a dreamy blend of vanilla ice cream and graham crackers, topped with Kit-Kats, graham crackers, fluffy marshmallows, rich chocolate ganache, and a swirl of whipped cream. Chocolate lovers will love the chocolate coma shake, a rich chocolate milkshake topped with brownies, crunchy Oreos, chocolate ganache, and whipped cream. For those who adore a mix of both sweet and salty, the sweet and salty shake combines peanut butter and vanilla ice cream, topped with the classic combo of Reese’s and Nutter Butters, a salty crunch of pretzels, a drizzle of caramel, and, of course, whipped cream to finish.
Entree prices range from $5 to $14.95, with options to add extra protein to their tasty bowls. They also have a kid’s menu ranging from classic chicken fingers to a turkey and cheese sandwich. Vegan and gluten-free menus are available to all guests upon request.
