New Paltz Students Explore Ida B. Wells, Racial and Social Injustice Activist

Journalism students Rachel Szpilka, Tiffany Dumornay and Kelsey Fredrick created a video that paid tribute to activist and journalist Ida B. Wells for Howard Good’s Spring 2018 Investigating Journalism class. Wells fought to expose racial and social injustices. She became one of America’s most influential female reporters and activists. Her work continues to impact those bringing attention to modern-day hate and reminds us that all people are part of the human race.
