Louis and Mildred Resnick Institute Lecture Series “Jewish Communities and the Uneasy Future”

Carolyn Dean, Professor of History at Yale University, will present the sixth and final lecture in the Louis and Mildred Resnick Institute Lecture Series, “Jewish Communities and the Uneasy Future” on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. in Lecture Center Room 104. The lecture topic will cover the cultural impact of genocide in relation to war and imperial conquest. Dean is the author of five other books focusing on the historical and cultural representation of victims. Her most recently published piece was “Aversion and Erasure: The Fate of the Victim after the Holocaust and The Fragility of Empathy after the Holocaust.” The lecture is free and open to the public.
