Giana Riso is a 19-year-old student from Smithtown, Long Island. She has been studying Journalism at SUNY New Paltz for 3 years, and has a minor in Communications. As Gianna enters her junior year, she says, of her education, “My skill set ranges from photojournalism, entertainment reviews, local news reporting, social media…” During her time in New Paltz, Gianna has been granted an internship with Gennifer with a G, inc., a media and copyediting business. Through this experience, she has written and copy edited for fashion magazines, blogs, and a publication that highlights diversity and action. Gianna also holds a copy-editing position for The Oracle, a student-run newspaper at SUNY New Paltz.
