Audio Postcard: Open Mic at Cafeteria

Mondays are normally regarded as a painful and exhausting start to the work and school week. However, at a small cafe located on Main Street in New Paltz, New York, the beginning of the week need not be draining. Cafeteria provides both SUNY New Paltz students and townies a chance to relax over a cup of coffee with friends and listen to live music in a safe space where creativity and support are found in abundance.

Reporter Emily King visited an open mic night at Cafeteria to capture the unique and encouraging sound that fills the room every Monday night.
