All proceeds will be donated to the New Paltz Climate Action Coalition.

November 8, 2019The Humanistic/Multicultural Education MPS Program, Campus Auxiliary Services, Black Studies Department, Educational Opportunity Program and the School of Education at SUNY New Paltz are hosting the 25th annual Multicultural Education Conference on Friday Nov. 8 at 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Student Union Building. Keynote speaker Dr. Michelle Fine will speak about "Teacher Wisdom for Building Inclusive and Engaging Classrooms in Contentious Times" and the TMI Project will present storytelling from Black Stories Matter and Locker Room Talk. Registration is $10 for students and $50 for general admission. The deadline to register is Oct. 25. This will focus on the development of new planning approaches to guide the use of cars in our community. The panelists will be city planners and transportation engineers in the Mid-Hudson area. The event will cost $15 and includes a locally sourced breakfast.

November 21, 2019On Thursday, Oct. 24 and Nov. 21, the SUNY New Paltz University Police Department is hosting a free Narcan training. Participants will receive a free Narcan kit and learn how to administer Narcan to reduce the risk of an opiate/heroin overdose, as well as learn rescue breathing and tips on overdose prevention. The training will take place in the Student Union Building, Room 418 from 6-8 p.m. The sessions are open to the public, but require an RSVP.
