The Evolving Mind and How it Works with Glenn Geher

The HawkTalk is a TED inspired program. Each semester the TV Studio Production students choose an issue or topic that they are concerned about and then they invite four speakers to come to the studio to share their experience or research on the subject which culminates in a 32 minute program with diverse perspectives.

Professor Glenn Geher brings light to positive evolutionary psychology; a psychology that studies how we can improve lives by focusing on factors that increase positive outcomes. Geher explains that applying the theory of Darwinism, psychologists can focus on increasing positivity in people’s lives using evolutionary study and explains exactly how that works.

Produced by Prof. Megan Sperry’s TV Studio Production class in Fall 2019.
