In line with tradition, the first talk of the Evolutionary Studies Serminar will serve as our campus-wide celebration of Darwin Day, celebrating Darwin’s contributions to our understanding of the world. Next February will be Darwin’s 201th birthday and we will celebrate in style, including an evolution-themed carnival (organized by the EvoS Club) and a special guest in the field of science entertainment, Natalia Reagan (of Nat Geo’s StarTalk) who will speak on mating systems in non-human primates (in a talk titled, “Going Ape! How non-human primates ‘get it on.’”). Natalia’s talk will take place in Science Hall Auditorium on Monday, Feb. 11 at 5 p.m.
