March 28: Without Limit Series: March of the Machines: Faculty Perspective

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences finishes the Without Limits: Interdisciplinary Conversations in the Liberal Arts series on March 28 with a panel of faculty who will be exploring the series theme “March of the Machines: Artificial Intelligence, Interactivity, and Automation in the Digital Age” from the perspective of their disciplines. Assistant Professor of Philosophy Rebecca Longtin will speak about the “Possibilities and Puzzles of ‘Human’-Level AI,” Assistant Professor of Communication Stephen DiDomenico will speak on “Talk, Embodiment, and Technology: Taking a ‘Doing’ Perspective on Mobile Phones in Everyday Life,” and Professor of Educational Studies and Leadership and affiliate of the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Department Gowri Parameswaran will discuss “Fear and Loathing on Social Media.” The event will be held in the Science Hall Auditorium from 5:00-7:30 p.m. followed by a reception in the Science Hall lobby.
