Audio Postcard: Walkway Over the Hudson

Since its creation, the Walkway Over the Hudson in Poughkeepsie, New York has been a unique destination. It overlooks the crystal Hudson River, and is framed by the cliff side of Highland, and the horizon of Poughkeepsie City. Locals enjoy it for its presence as a place to walk and blow off steam, but something about this special place leads people from far and wide to make trips similar to pilgrimages.

New Paltz student Robert Mondello set out to find out why this destination was so special, and interviewed a “pilgrim” named John.
