Following the success of the New Paltz Men’s Volleyball Team and their road to the NCAA Tournament, Julia Jenkins, Ava Yurchison and Irene Corvinus caught up with some of New Paltz’s finest athletes to learn the basics.
Julia Jenkins: “Turns out playing volleyball with the pros wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be. They taught me really good tips on how to bump, set, and spike that I’m looking forward to using when I play volleyball for fun on the beach.”
Ava Yurchison: “I was just as rusty as I thought I would be but I’m glad that I went out there and tried my best. Volleyball isn’t and never was my first sport, however, it was a super fun to get back on the court!”
