Wade Lewis Poetry Slam Returns to New Paltz

The second largest collegiate slam poetry competition on the east coast returned to New Paltz on March 1 and 2. Teams included Yale, Dartmouth, Wesleyan, NYU, Middlebury, SUNY Oneonta, Brown, Geneseo, Urban Lyrics and the SUNY New Paltz Slam Team. This year’s competition featured host Omar Holman and special guest, two-time Individual Poetry Slam Champion, Buddy akefield. Professional workshops were also hosted by Elliott Smith and Joanna Hoffman.
