Brittany Patane, 20, Art Education major, is the youngest and newest member of the SUNY New Paltz Slam Poetry Team. She discusses the difference between slam and traditional poetry and how she got into the scene. Patane is constantly looking for inspiration in her everyday life. This is Patane’s first year slamming. She will be performing March 1 at 6 p.m. in Student Union Multi-Purpose Room.
