A lecture by Dr. Gerald Sorin of the History department titled “History, the Historical Novel, and the Influence of Ideology: the Case of Communist Writer Howard Fast” will be held in the Honors Center on Feb. 21 at 5 p.m.
Sorin will discuss the impact of communist ideology and radical politics on the work of Howard Fast.
Sorin will also sign copies of his biography, Fast; Life and Literature in the Left Lane, winner of the 2012 National Jewish Book Award for Biography.
The event is sponsored by the History department and the Honors Program.
