UPD Makes Arrest In Sexual Assault Case

The University Police Department (UPD) arrested Brian Sanchez of the Bronx, New York on Sunday Nov. 22, 2015. Sanchez was charged by the UPD with one count of sexual abuse in the first degree. Additionally, Sanchez was charged by the Town of New Paltz Police Department with rape in the first degree, criminal sexual act in the first degree and unlawful imprisonment for an incident that occurred off campus.

Sanchez, who is not a student at SUNY New Paltz, was remanded to the Ulster County Jail on $50,000 bail.
